Platte Valley Theatre Arts (PVTA) believes theatre has both the unique opportunity and the responsibility to entertain and delight, to inspire conversation and reflection, and to open horizons for artists and audiences of all ages.

That’s why for over two decades we’ve served as a cornerstone of the performing arts in Colorado, providing thought-provoking, entertaining and exceptional-quality programming showcased in a joyful, intimate theatre.

Centered in Brighton, Colorado a short drive from any Denver metro-area location—PVTA has presented critically acclaimed and award-winning performance arts since 2003. Our thoughtfully curated programming, exceptional production quality and acting excellence rival anything found at large performing arts centers locally and nationally.

In 2012, we introduced our youth performance program to provide a space for young actors to explore their creativity, develop their talents,  and foster a lifelong love for theatre.

Much Ado About Nothing

Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing is a witty, fast-moving comedy about love, misunderstandings, and clever wordplay. In sunny Messina, the sharp-tongued Beatrice and the proud Benedick trade hilarious insults while their friends secretly plot to bring them together. At the same time, the sweet Hero faces a scheme that tests love, trust, and friendship, keeping everyone on their toes.

Tickets YOUTH/SENIORS (UNDER 10 and 65+): $23+$2 fee online until one hour before show time, $30 at the door

ADULTS (10-64): $25+$2 fee online until one hour before show time, $32 at the door

Sweeney Todd is a darkly thrilling musical full of suspense, humor, and unforgettable songs. In Victorian London, the mysterious barber Sweeney Todd returns after years of exile, seeking revenge for a terrible injustice. With the help of the resourceful Mrs. Lovett, who bakes more than just pies, Todd’s quest sets off a chain of shocking—and often darkly comic—events.
