The mission of the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra is to be a first-class community orchestra enabling musicians to perform orchestral music in the city of Lone Tree and South Metro Denver at a high standard, thus enriching the lives of community members through music.
The Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra (LTSO) is a community-based orchestra serving Lone Tree and the South Metro Denver region. Founded in 2000, the orchestra presents a five-concert season at the Lone Tree Arts Center featuring orchestral masterworks, audience favorites, contemporary works, and collaborations with guest artists and regional arts organizations. In addition to its concert season, LTSO supports music education and community engagement through partnerships with youth orchestras and local schools, and outreach programs that bring live music throughout the community.

Fate and Future
The Lone Tree Symphony opens the season with a compelling program exploring destiny and transformation. Verdi's dramatic overture to La Forza del Destino sets the tone, followed by the LTSO's premiere performance of Sercy by Hilary Purrington, winner of the Lone Tree Symphony Composition Competition. The first half concludes with Alfven's Swedish Rhapsody No. 2. The finale of the evening will be Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, a powerful and enduring journey from darkness to triumph.

1931 Film “Frankenstein” with Music by Michael Shapiro and the LTSO
This 1931 masterpiece of horror was originally released without a musical score, which inspired composer Michael Shapiro to fill in the void by creating an original new soundtrack. As the classic film plays on the big screen, Jacinda Bouton of the Lone Tree Symphony will conduct Shapiro’s gorgeous and atmospheric score, making this the ultimate audience experience for a truly iconic film. For today’s audiences, Shapiro’s haunting music adds significantly to the emotional impact of the film.

Sugarplums & Snowflakes

Experience the elegance and charm of French music in this captivating concert featuring trumpeter Leslie Scarpino, performing Arutunian's virtuosic Concerto for Trumpet. The Lone Tree Symphony takes you on a musical journey through France, opening with Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld Overture, followed by the beauty of Debussy's Reverie. Arabian Nights
The Lone Tree Symphony closes the season with "Arabian Nights", a program of adventure and imagination. Rossini's lIvely overture to The Italian Girl in Algiers and Faure's Pavane set the stage, followed by music from Disney's Aladdin. The evening culminates in Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, a dazzling orchestral masterpiece inspired by One Thousand and One Nights. With its soaring violin solos and vivid storytelling, Scheherazade brings the season to a thrilling close.
