To enrich the cultural fabric of our community by presenting dynamic musical experiences, by supporting and educating Colorado youth and music lovers of all ages, and by providing opportunities for adult musicians to continue their avocation.

Established in 1961, the Denver Concert Band (DCB) is one of Colorado's oldest and most respected community bands. Comprised of approximately 90 volunteer musicians from throughout the Denver metropolitan area, the band brings together individuals from diverse professions and backgrounds who share a passion for making music and serving their community through performance.

Under the direction of Music Director Jacinda Bouton since 1997, the Denver Concert Band presents a diverse season of concerts featuring traditional band classics, marches, contemporary works, film and Broadway music, and premieres of new compositions. The ensemble performs four formal concerts each year at the Lone Tree Arts Center, including performances featuring guest artists and the recipient of the band's annual Young Artist Scholarship. In addition, DCB maintains an active summer performance schedule at venues throughout Colorado.

As a nonprofit organization, the Denver Concert Band is dedicated to fostering musical education, appreciation, and enthusiasm. The band's annual Young Artist Scholarship competition awards a $5,000 scholarship to an outstanding high school senior pursuing higher education, while its Show & Tell Band introduces elementary school students to musical instruments and encourages interest in music-making. Through educational outreach, community engagement, and artistic collaboration, DCB strives to inspire the next generation of musicians while making high-quality live music accessible to audiences of all ages.
