Our mission is to promote classical musical arts and education to ALL people, through an engaging and profound musical experience.
The Boulder Chamber Orchestra (BCO) was established in 2004, and stands as Boulder’s premier professional chamber orchestra. Since our formation, we have consistently played to sold-out audiences and featured some of the most sought-after musicians across the world. BCO is committed to playing under-performed, rarely-heard pieces to educate audiences and bring to light incredible composers.

Mini-Chamber 1: Andrew Cooperstock – Piano
The Boulder Chamber Orchestra’s 2025–2026 Mini-Chamber Series opens with a vibrant tribute to French musical brilliance, marking 150 years since the birth of Maurice Ravel. This elegant program features masterworks by Debussy, Poulenc, Milhaud, and Ravel, brought to life by Artist-in-Residence Andrew Cooperstock. He is joined by BCO's own outstanding artists: clarinetist Kellan Toohey, violinist Hilary Castle, and cellist Joseph Howe.

Mini-Chamber 2: Andrew Cooperstock – Piano
The second concert in the Boulder Chamber Orchestra’s 2025–2026 Mini-Chamber Series offers an irresistible blend of charm, wit, and emotional depth. From Sublime to Ecstatic: Gift of Music Holiday Concert
We open our Chamber Orchestra Series with internationally renowned bandoneon virtuoso Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, featured in Roberto Di Marino’s electrifying Concerto for Bandoneon and Orchestra. The evening also includes captivating selections by Astor Piazzolla and J.S. Bach’s Keyboard Concerto in D Minor, performed by acclaimed pianist Adam Żukiewicz. The final concert in the 2025–2026 Mini-Chamber Series brings a powerful close with two monumental works of the chamber music repertoire. In his final appearance as 25–26 Artist-in-Residence, acclaimed pianist Andrew Cooperstock is joined by BCO violinists Annamaria Karacson and Daniel Colbert, violist Stephanie Mientka, and cellist Erin Patterson for an evening of expressive depth and brilliance featuring piano quintets by Dmitri Shostakovich and Robert Schumann.

Romantic Bees with Edward Dusinberre – Violin
We continue our chamber orchestra series with a program of Romantic masterworks centered on the ""B’s""—Brahms and Bruch. Beloved violinist Edward Dusinberre of the Takács Quartet joins us for Bruch’s iconic Violin Concerto. The evening also features Brahms’ lush Serenade in D, offering a warm and intimate journey through the Romantic era.

Folk Inspirations with Irina Muresanu – Violin
Our third chamber orchestra concert features folk-inspired gems from Romania, Switzerland, and the United States. Highlights include Mark O’Connor’s American Seasons with violinist Irina Muresanu and Bloch’s Concerto Grosso with pianist Adam Żukiewicz. The evening concludes with Enescu’s exhilarating Rumanian Rhapsody No. 1.

2026 CSMTA Concerto Competition Winners’ Concert
We are thrilled to host the third annual collaboration with the Colorado State Music Teachers Association (CSMTA) for their Concerto Competition Winners' Concert. Young musicians from across the state compete for the chance to perform as soloists with the Boulder Chamber Orchestra—an event that’s truly something special.
