The Cherry Creek Chorale creates collaborative, engaging and versatile musical experiences for our singers and audiences while demonstrating our love of one another, artistic excellence, and passion for the choral art.
Since its founding in 1980 by dedicated singers from the CherryCreek School District, the Cherry Creek Chorale has grown into a vibrant 120-voice ensemble whose members range in age from 17 to 80. Committed to artistic excellence and community engagement, the Chorale fosters a love of singing for performers and audiences alike, presenting four concert sets each season at Bethany Lutheran Church and performing at additional venues across the Denver metro area. Under the 31-year leadership of Artistic Director and Conductor Brian Patrick Leatherman, and with William White serving as Associate Conductor, the Chorale showcases a diverse repertoire spanning pop, jazz, classical, folk, spirituals, and contemporary works.
The Chorale is proud to champion new music and celebrate diverse composers and musical traditions. Each concert is thoughtfully curated around a central theme, often performed in-the-round and including sing-along pieces to create an engaging audience experience. Its outreach a cappella ensemble, The CherryTones, expands the Chorale’s reach through community performances across the metro area, including city events, intimate venues, and arts programs for seniors, helping bring the joy of live music to new and diverse audiences.

Harmony & Hops: Music, Mirth & Mugs Raised High
Featuring the Aries Brass Quintet of Denver Brass
Some concerts ask you to sit quietly. This one aspires to have you clapping along and joining the chorus. Harmony & Hops celebrates Gemütlichkeit—the warmth, friendship, and simple pleasure of gathering in good company. Brahms brings the waltzes, Verdi pours the toast, Rutter calls for “Good Ale,” and Orff takes us straight into a medieval tavern. P.D.Q. Bach makes certain that decorum does not survive the evening. The Aries Brass Quintet of Denver Brass and CherryTones join lively polkas and familiar favorites as the evening builds toward what Oktoberfest does best: bringing everyone together in song. Come for the music, stay for the merriment, and leave with your spirits—and perhaps your glass—raised.
*After the Saturday concert, continue the celebration at an Oktoberfest featuring the Aries Brass Quintet, beer, nonalcoholic beverages, and German-inspired treats. A separate ticket is required.

City Carols and Country Cheer: Songs of the Season from Downtown to Down-Home
Featuring the Denver Children’s Choir
The holidays have more than one address. City Carols & Country Cheer features the familiar chime of “Silver Bells,” then unfolds from the bright bustle of the city into the warmth of a country Christmas, where close harmonies glow like firelight and familiar songs welcome everyone home. “O Radiant Dawn” and “Breath of Heaven” inspire awe, while “Hanukkah in Santa Monica” and “57 Chevy Bel Air”—surely on Santa’s own wish list—add unexpected delight. The Denver Children’s Choir brings the anticipation of Christmas morning, CherryTones lends its signature charm, and sing-along carols invite the audience into the celebration of the season. Celtic Festival XII: Harmonies of Heath and Hills
Featuring Strings of Brigid and Michael Collins Pipes and Drums
Cherry Creek Chorale proudly presents the premiere of a newly created Celtic concert experience by local composer and arranger Chappell Kingsland. Celtic Festival XII: Harmonies of Heath and Hills draws from the folk traditions of Ireland, Scotland, and England, pairing favorites such as Danny Boy, Skye Boat Song, Dúlamán, and Wild Mountain Thyme with contemporary works by Enya, Dougie MacLean, Kate Rusby, and the creators of Riverdance. Guest ensemble Strings of Brigid brings the vibrant sounds of fiddle, Celtic harp, whistle, guitar, cello, and bodhrán, while Michael Collins Pipes and Drums adds thrilling pageantry and grandeur. With intimate ballads, fiery instrumentals, and irresistible dance rhythms, this ambitious new program will carry audiences from the hush of an ancient song to the full, exhilarating joy of chorus, fiddle, pipes, and drums.

Sit, Stay…Soar! A Whimsical Walk on the Wild Side
Step into a musical world where creatures great and small inspire wonder, laughter, and kinship. Cherry Creek Chorale explores the beauty and mystery of the natural world through works including Rutter’s radiant “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” Elaine Hagenberg’s fierce “Tyger,” Dan Forrest’s serene “The Peace of Wild Things,” and Benjamin Britten’s imaginative Rejoice in the Lamb. CherryTones add their own playful spark, while Eric Whitacre’s witty Animal Crackers, Vol. I mingles with songs of loyalty, companionship, home, and enduring love.
